We care for animals who serve with us.
From military bases to wildlife reserves, our work spans the globe to help brave animals and the people who count on them.
U.S. military working dog Bogi served in Japan until her 2021 retirement, when we helped reunite her with her former handler in the United States.
Our work with military and service animals reflects our deepest values: honoring sacrifice, protecting those who serve others and nurturing the healing power of the human-animal bond. These principles guide our expanding global mission of compassionate care.
Military working dogs serve alongside U.S. troops around the world, forming deep bonds with their handlers during their time together. When these dogs retire from service, many handlers want to adopt them but cannot afford to bring them home. Our Military Working Dog Reunification Program handles the travel logistics and costs to reunite military dogs with the people who know and love them best. These heroes also receive a lifetime of free veterinary care.
Our Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa supports dogs helping conservation efforts. In Rwanda, we provide care for the K9 Ranger Unit dogs, a team working in Akagera National Park to protect endangered wildlife.

These skilled dogs work with rangers to stop poaching and save animals like black rhinos. When these four-legged rangers retire, we make sure they get the veterinary care they need.
Through our Pups4Patriots™ program, we train dogs in need of forever homes to become life-saving service animals for veterans and retired first responders struggling with post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the U.S. and abroad.
Through each partnership and program, we demonstrate how protecting animals creates more compassionate communities worldwide.
